Pirates

This section I started in December 2012 and the reason is that there nowadays are so many pirate releases available through Ebay and other places on the internet, the records fairs and second hand record shops. Before this I used to list pirate pressings in the ordinary sections among the albums, singles or compilations. And you will still find pirates there. Sometimes a bootleg is said to be a pirate and a pirate is said to be a bootleg. For me both bootlegs and pirates are unlicensed releases but a bootleg is an illegal recording of, in most cases, a concert, while a pirate contains an official recording but it has been released by someone who has not licensed it from the owner of the recording.

Sometimes it is hard to know if a release is legal or if it is a pirate, especially when it comes to Asian releases. So there are probably some releases in this section that I have classed as pirate even if they are not, and in the other sections there are most certainly releases that I should have listed here instead. Then I of course have the special sections for the Receiver compilations, the semi-official albums and the Live albums and some of the releases here could probably be listed as pirates. When I have informaiton that says they are pirates I will keep them in their special sections.
