Test pressing copies have been listed by Oliver Kaempf and Jean Pierre in their
discographies. But the first time I actually saw pictures of a copy was in January 2010 when a copy was listed on Ebay
by the seller auctionbazaar, located in Boston, USA. The copy was housed in a white cardboard sleeve with a sticker
on it saying "64034 T AOR Q-0, STU FINE, POLYGRAM RECORDS, INC. 810 SEVENTH AVENUE, NEW YORK, N.Y.".
The label was yellowish/cream coloured with black print saying "H.R.M, TEST PRESSING, HAUPPAUGE RECORD MANUFACTURING, LTD". Also included
were the original album label copy and Mastering Instructions, an 8 1/2 x 11 confidential internal document
generated by Mercury Records to accompany the test pressing. The seller claimed that he acquired the record when
the Ex worked at Polygram in the '80's.
Just a few months later, in June 2010, another test pressing copy was up for auction on Ebay, this time from
djfmx-records2. This time the sleeve
was a stock sleeve, USA pressing, with a promo stamp. It also included the mastering instructions sheet.
In March 2014 another copy was old on Ebay, in die cut sleeve but no mastering instruction. Handwriting on label and also on sleeve.
