Test pressings of the UK pressing have white labels with a big "1" on the white label of side 1 and a big "2" on the side 2. A copy sold on Ebay around 2003 had a sleeve with grey logo and blue title (USA or Japan sleeve?) and an A4 paper that looks like a Mastering Instructions (see pictures). Another copy was just housed in an "important notice" standard inner sleeve.

In April 2010 a seller on Ebay listed a test pressing copy with completely white labels. I found this strange, why test pressings with different labels than other test pressings? But I was curious. I guess there is the possiblity that when the pressing plant has to do a re-press because the first press has been out of stock, they do new test pressings and then maybe they use other labels. So I placed a bid and won it for just GBP 100 which is quite low considering other Motorhead test pressing auctions. When the record arrived I compared the labels to the stock copy as well as to the test pressing with "1" label I already owned. It turned out that the labels where bigger, they covered a larger area than the stock copy and the "1" label test pressing. I also checked the spindle hole and it was obvious for me that someone had put on white labels after the original hole had been made and then tried to make holes into the labels. The paper of the labels also looked very strange. For me it was obvious someone had made another fake test pressing. This I told the seller but he claimed the record was genuine and at first he did not want to take it back. But in the end he did and I got my money back.
