There are test pressings of this edition, in some cases over two one-sided
discs (catalogue no CWK 3008/WLPC 101). On the sleeves it is written, A-side sleeve: "Approved 10/10/78"
and on B-side: "Recieved 4/10/78, Approved 5/10/78". In lower left corner on both sleeves it is printed "WLPC 101" upside down.
Labels are white, no writing.
(Picture from Fitchie). In his 2011 book Mick Stevenson has a picture of a sleeve with handwriting: "2 one sided testpressings of
c/wick LP. CWK 3008".
A black vinyl white label copy with a picture sleeve, described as:
“Side 1 of the vinyl is in near mint condition, side 2 has scuff marks on the first 2 tracks (plays ok but
there is some background noise) otherwise in excellent condition. The sleeve has corner creasing + lots of
dents and scratches on the rear of the sleeve, vg condition”, was sold in November 2003 on Ebay.
The picture sleeve could of course have been a secondary addition.
Another test pressing copy that was sold on Ebay in September 2004, also had an ordinary picture sleeve, but this
sleeve was actually a sleeve of the original WIK 2 release with the misspelling and it was the laminated kind.
The catalogue number on the back was taped over with a sticker with "CWK 3008".
A similar copy was listed on Ebay in January 2012 and this was said to be "White Label Test Pressing with Unfinished Proof sleeve. Sleeve has a
stickered catalouge number and was printed by Press and Post Limited, the final sleeve for the issued version of this LP was
printed by Robert Stace".
In January 2013 yet another test pressing was sold on Ebay that was housed in a WIK 2
sleeve (keepers spelling, not laminated).
