The German 038-79 2067 1 was released in 1986. On the back and on the label it says it is made in EEC. The inner sleeve is plain white and the label is a black Capitol label with silver printing and a rainbowcoloured border around the edge. It contains both GEMA and BIEM logos and has minor wording about rights around the edge in both German and English. Some copies has a round EMI sticker on the front sleeve. On the back cover it has "France: PM 211" printed beneath the cat no in the top right corner. PM probably stands for Pathe Marconi (thanks for that information Iron Lady). This could mean that it was manufactured for both the German and the French market.

The problem with my own copy is that the record inside is the German re-issue 1C 038 1575421. In October 2007 I saw another copy with this combination. This had a black fame picture inner sleeve with red writing. There has also been a copy sold on Ebay with the wrong record inside. The label was a grey Liberty label and has BIEM/GEMA printed on it. My guess is this was the German 1A 054-83017. Is this just a coinsidence with at least three copies with the wrong record inside? Or were they originally packaged like this?
