The first time the Overkill album actually was released in the USA was in
1988 when Profile Records decided to release Overkill (cat no PRO 3241), Bomber, Ace Of Spades and
No Sleep ´til Hammersmith as special low list price editions. Legacy still owned the rights in 1988 so Profile
had to license the rights from Legacy. The list price $ 6.98 was printed on the spine, the sleeves were sealed
with shrink plastic and on the front there were two stickers, one black and white that said “The Big Deal”
and, for the European market only, one round that said “Import”.
Also this release was missing the black
outline for the light blue Motorhead logo on the front sleeve.
The jacket was made in Canada and the label was a black Profile label. Barcode number was 0 15151-3241-1 0.
The inner sleeve was one of those antistatic transparent plastic bags.
