This 7" just have AOS on side A, side B is no song, it is just just a
continual transmission tone when
you play it. Side B also has a completely different matrix no. The copy I have seen is housed in a black die cut
sleeve and was listed as a "blue label demo". Side B, with the transmission tone, has a blue label with
handwritten "Motorhead Ace Of Spades" with
a black marker, the matrix no "BRO 106 A-1U" is handwritten with blue ink and then there is a stamp with the
date "7 OCT 1980". This stamp looks just like other stamps on Bronze labels that you can find on promo copies.
The label on Side A is just blue. According to the seller of this blue label version this copy
"was issued to a local regional radio station for airplay. The date stamp is a release date for the dj's use". This
test pressing has in other words been used for promotion.
The stock copy has a push out centre and there are also test pressings with white labels with push out centre but
this blue vinyl does not have a push out centre! In the Collectors Guide Alan Burridge mentions that there are
one-sided test pressings of the AOS single that have been spotted at record fairs.
