Castle Classics

Notes

The whole Bronze catalogue was first acquired by Legacy Records in the mid 80s and then the big re-issue label Castle got their hands on the Bronze back catalogue. Bronze was just one of many back catalogues Castle started re-issuing in the late 80s and during the 90s. Among the labels were Vertigo, Neat and Interworld and artists like Black Sabbath, Venom and Small Faces. For some reason No Remorse was the first album to be re-issued by Castle already in 1986 on vinyl followed by Iron Fist in 1987. At that time Castle did not have the rights so they licensed them from Legacy. Later on followed Overkill and the rest of the Bronze albums. But for some strange reason Ace of Spades was never re-issued on vinyl by Castle Classics. On CD No Remorse was released in 1988. On CD also Ace of Spades got released and even the GWR releases were released by Castle Classics on CD. As you can see on the pictures here there are variations in discs on some releases. I guess this depends on Castle using several different manufacturers in Germany, France and UK.
