This was the first cd release of the self-titled 1977 debut. It was released on the Big Beat label (CDWIK 2) and printed in West Germany. In 1983 Chiswick and Big Beat became subsiduaries of Ace Records, a reissues-oriented label that was formed at the time by Ted Carroll and his partner Roger Armstrong. This is why it says (P) and (C) Ace Records.

For some reason the Motorhead logo had been changed on this CD issue to a more standard gothic lettering in red. At the bottom you could read “Plus 5 more headbanging tracks!!!”. The extra tracks were the rest of the recording session from Escape studios. There are apparently at least two different versions of the disc, one black with the Motorhead skull and red and silver wording and one that is black with white wording listing the song titles.
