Records described as test pressings of Orgasmatron are common. They are usually housed in plain white sleeves with a taped record company A4 paper with release details. Many copies are signed by Lemmy and Wurzel. Some copies also included a proof cover. Labels are white with German text printing saying "Unverkaufliche Musterplatte". Sometimes the labels also has handwritten notes. Test pressings in white sleeves were distributed through the fan club as prizes in a competition but I donīt know how many. Maybe it was just the first prize? Anyway, as mentioned, most copies seems to have been signed by Lemmy and Wurzel who did a lot of the promotion work at the time. It is probably wrong to call all those copies test pressings since it is so common. This is probably a case when they choose to print a lot of copies with this test pressing label and used them for promotion. Since the GWLP 1 number is not written anywhere I list the matrix number 5240 as cat no.

Sometimes this UK Test pressing, which is actually made in Germany, has been listed with "Roadrunner" as the label. I think this is just a mix up with the Dutch pressing that was made by Roadrunner.

Some copies were included in a promo box.

Ritchie - Jean-Pierre has sent a picture of a test pressing sleeve, described as "Front and back of the open cover sleeve without collage- Rim". There is no text on the front or on the back of this cover not even the name of the band. Ritchie got it with a copy of the test pressing LP plus 7 infos sheets on the group and a business card from Christina Porter from GWR. Ritchie also mentions that the record company (or distributor) had planned a competition to win a Sony disc man but the project was not accepted.
