The March or Die album was the second album on the Sony WTG label and it would also be the last for Sony. It has been said that the label was not satisfied with the sales for the album and it also sold less than 1916. Philthy had left the band and instead they used Tommy Alridge as drummer on the album. Only exception is the Hellraiser tracks where new drummer Mikkey Dee can be heard.

In 1992 the cd had replaced the vinyl and therefore not that many copies were pressed on vinyl. In USA they did not press any vinyl at this time. In Europe pressings were made on vinyl in Holland, Greece and Spain. A new format was the minidisc that was pressed in Austria for the European market and I think MOD is the only Motorhead album that was released on this format. In USA CDs were still packaged in long boxes. In Australia a two CD package with 1916 was released, probably at the end of the 90s. In 2009 another double package with 1916 was released by Sony.
