After 1982 there were no new releases of Bomber for four years, but in
1986, after some years of financial problems for Bronze, the whole Bronze catalogue was acquired by
UK-based label Legacy Records. The very same year a bunch of Motorhead Bronze albums were re-issued
in different forms. In UK these re-releases weren“t actually released by Legacy, but licensed to
GWR Records, the label that had been formed by Motorheads manager Douglas Smith and that had a deal
with Motorhead at the time. Bomber was released with the catalogue number GWLP 5. It was manufactured
in Germany by RCA/Ariola.
