This set is the DELUXE EXPANDED EDITION that comes with extra tracks. It
was released to coincide with the band's 30th anniversary year and tour. It is housed in a slip case and copies were
usually sealed. I have also seen sealed copies without the slip case.
The second disc contains the same bonus tracks as the Essential 1996 remastered version with an addition of a selection
of alternative versions previously released on the Receiver
Stone Dead Forever album, and a live version of Step Down from the 1980-08-20 live show
at the Theatre Royal, Nottingham, that was broadcasted on tv (Rockstage) and previously released on the Receiver Jailbait live album.
Discs were
blue with skull and Motorhead logo and logos for mcps, LC 6448, Sanctuary Midline and Compact disc. Later
pressings are also identified, except for the absence of the slip case, by 4 very small Universal logos
in the matrix number area.
The booklet contained band pictures and pictures of memorabilia from 1979, supplied by Mick Stevenson, and liner notes by
Malcolm Dome.
